Goa - one of the less obvious destinations for a New Year party. Goa nonetheless has everything you would hope for with calm weather, lovely beachfront setting, lively yet comparatively restrained parties and of course a genuinely friendly welcome.
New Year Events & Party
The main new year party is centered on Anjuna Beach, and don't worry if you've seen and heard negative things about beach parties on the wild islands of Thailand, this is a much more relaxed and chilled out scene, although the proliferation of backpackers does still mean a big party that will last well into the next day.
Around the Goa area there are a number of top hotels, and they compete with the restaurants and bars to get the most visitors in for their new year parties. Among the top events to look out for coming New Year 2014 are:

- Rooftop Lounge Bar & Grill, Vasco Da Gama have their annual new year's eve party with dancing, luxury buffet and live music from popular local band Gravity.
- The Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa, Arrosim Beach are holding a New Year Masquerade Ball, with fine dining menu, live music by DJ Merwin and Crimson Tide and plenty of cocktails and champagne!
- You can enjoy also big Parties at the Camelot Water World, Submerge NYE at Red Square and the IRFD New Year Bash at Molly Malone's in Bardez.
